M. Taylor received a direct red for this studs up, but not necessarily malicious challenge. It was all in the leg positioning that this horrific injury occurred.
In a shocking double blow, Arsenal went on to have the referee award an absolutely INEPT 93rd minute PK to Birmingham resulting in a 2-2 final, and impacting about 6 teams in the EPL (Relegation Race and Title Race) by robbing the Gunners of 2 points and gifting the Blues an undeserved 1 point.
